<aside> 📌 Alpaca Health is a virtual clinic for neuro-immunology conditions. We were inspired to create Alpaca after the founder was hospitalized for COVID at Mt Sinai and subsequently found two key problems in neurology and immunology: access and quality. Neurological and immunological diseases cost the US economy $950B per year, with more than 150M Americans suffering from these conditions and referral wait times between 1-6 months to see a specialist. Moreover, diagnosing these conditions is difficult and often involves long cycles of trial and error. Our platform provides all the tools needed for a highly effective patient-provider relationship, with a goal to improve outcomes and reduce costs. What Livongo did for diabetes ($18B+ exit), we will do for neurology and immunology.

<aside> 💡 We started in April, left BCG/HMS to build Alpaca last month, received VC funding, launched our MVP Alpha web app and at-home CLIA-certified test panels in mid-June for long COVID haulers, and we’re post revenue and growing quickly. The founder has been building startups full-time from 0 to 1 for the past 7+ years, working last as a Venture GM/CTO at BCG Digital Ventures and Lead Data Scientist at BCG, with experience building digital health ventures. He holds his first degree and MSc from Oxford University and recently studied at Harvard Medical School for a MMSc, which he is on leave. Alpaca Health’s mission is to improve access and quality of care for neuro-immunology conditions. We're looking to start raising a pre-seed in mid-July and look forward to connecting with many of you.
